L-3 Communications' Vertex subsidiary has been awarded an indefinite delivery contract valued at $569 million by the U.S. Navy. Vertex, which has teamed with the Boeing Company for this project, will provide logistics services and maintenance materials in support of T-45A and T-45C trainer aircraft.

L-3 Communications' global security and engineering solutions (GS&ES) unit has been awarded a five-year, $92.2 million task order by the General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service for the U.S. Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Under the task order, GS&ES will support the Army Architecture Integration and Management Directorate and the Army Capabilities Integration Center as well as other TRADOC centers of excellence throughout the continental U.S.

L-3 Communications' advanced products and design unit has been awarded a $23.2 million delivery order to provide 600 VideoScout-MC mobile video exploitation and management systems to the U.S. Marine Corps. These systems enhance portable equipment currently in use by adding video imagery in real-time, which improves situational awareness. The Marine Corps will receive the mobile VideoScout-MC laptop computer with integrated multi-band receivers.

L-3 Communications' SPAR subsidiary has been awarded an $18 million contract by the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence, Royal Air Force to perform outer wing replacements on three C-130K aircraft.

L-3 Communications has been selected for a U.S. Air Force weapon systems support contract with a maximum value of $6.9 billion. L-3 was one of 12 prime contractors chosen for the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity program, known as the future, flexible acquisition and sustainment tool (F(2)AST). L-3 will provide modifications, development and other services for all Air Force-managed weapons systems.

L-3 Services Incorporated has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, $7,438,904 contract for the design, development, integration and production of a form, fit and function; environmentally sealed; state of the art electromagnetic pulse pulser and its associated control system. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
