Support includes development of a neural interface system capable of performing continuous, simultaneous full-duplex (read and write) interaction with at least one thousand neurons in regions of the human sensory cortex. Reston-based Electrosoft* announced on July 11 that it will be part of the $20 billion Chief Information Officer–Solutions and Partners 3 Small Business (CIO-SP3 SB) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). The award is a 10-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract that provides federal agencies access to a full range of information technology (IT) services and solutions.

This contract provides for certified and qualified operational contractor support services aircrew to support mission essential testing and evaluation of all manned air vehicles under the operational responsibility of the Naval Test Wing Atlantic/Pacific squadrons. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, Maryland (94%); NAS Pt. The U.S. Marine Corps is replacing some of its aging infrastructure at its recruiting centers to improve connectivity and support Internet of Things devices, making the recruiting process easier. The Marine Corps is replacing aging communications technology at its U.S recruiting centers and has selected New-York-based MetTel to provide the improved infrastructure. MetTel will upgrade the service’s aging T-1 transmission lines with high speed broadband.

“We are putting broadband Internet services into 1,500 of their recruiting stations,” said Diana Gowen, general manager and senior vice president, MetTel Federal. “Compared to what they had previously, they're saving about 70% in telecommunications costs.”

This contract provides for the Small Business Innovation Research Phase III effort that extends the previous Phase I and Phase III efforts by adding in other relevant algorithms, automation, cloud based integrations, full-spectrum workflows, advanced visualization, models and simulation to increase the technology readiness levels by testing and validating the ADVANCE system within a relevant environment of live set networks.
