The AFCEA Educational Foundation Mission - The AFCEA
Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization dedicated to providing educational
incentives, opportunities and assistance for people
engaged in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics (STEM) disciplines focused on information
technology, cybersecurity, telecommunications and
electronics supporting the defense, homeland security and
intelligence communities.
This is a common application for all of AFCEA's STEM
Major Scholarships, including the Undergraduate Diversity
and Cyber Security Scholarships.
Merit-based scholarships will be awarded to
full-time undergraduate sophomore or junior students
attending a four year university with a 3.0 GPA or higher
studying STEM (hard Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and
Math), Cyber Security, Intelligence, Homeland Security or
related fields (biometrics, computer engineering, computer
forensics science, computer programming, computer science,
computer systems, cyber security, electrical engineering,
electronics engineering, geospatial science, information
science, information technology, information resource
management, intelligence, mathematics, network
engineering, network security, operations research,
physics, robotics engineering, robotics technology,
statistics, strategic intelligence and telecommunications
engineering) who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents.
AFCEA Educational Foundation scholarships can only be
used for educational purposes towards tuition, mandatory
fees, labs and books. All award checks are written to the
university and mailed directly to the school to be
deposited into student's account.
