Course Description:

This two-day lecture and demonstration course with hands-on labs covers the Social Media Security Professional Common Body of Knowledge and prepares the student for the Social Media Security Professional (SMSP) Certification Exam Powered by CompTIA.  The Social Media Security Course is designed for individuals who must acquire knowledge to anticipate attacks and guard sensitive information from social media hackers.  In this course you will explore the theories and principles behind all of the mainstream social media venues, delve into the technical composition of the big social media platforms, explore the security risks associated with social media, and develop an incident response team to address situations that may arise with a forensics approach.

Certification:  After completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Social Media Security Professional examination and earn the SMSP Certification.  There is a separate registration for this examination.

Who should attend
The course is designed for individuals with experience in the cybersecurity space. SMSP Certification candidate job roles include: information security/assurance technician, network technician, security administrator, systems administrator, network administrator, security architect, security engineer or any other role that is responsible for information security.
