Course Description:

Cyber Warfare Hours:  9:00 am - 10:30 am

Cyber Warfare - Increasing one’s pool of knowledge is very important in today’s risk/threat environment.  Given the dynamics associated with the entire cyber domain, continuing education is a must.

Cyber warfare is an ill-defined conflict domain that poses unique challenges and opportunities for militaries around the world.  As organizations race to establish attack capabilities, a second track looks at defending their critical systems from attack.  This session examines offensive cyber capabilities, defensive cyber measures and the dynamic field of cyber intelligence.  Integral to this program is an examination of an actual retaliatory cyber strike, cyber battle damage from an actual cyber incident, as well as the economic implication of acts of cyber aggression.   Waging cyber war is much more than just sitting in front of a computer and hacking another computer.  It requires planning, monitoring and modern cyber warfare systems that operate on their own infrastructure.  Through this interaction, participants will understand how the cyber warfare infrastructure is constructed in support of its mission.
