GMU EPIC Outreach Event

Join the AFCEA Emerging Professionals in the Intelligence Community (EPIC) Committee for an evening that will provide an opportunity for students, post-docs, and other young professionals to gain a better understanding of the opportunities and roles available to them within the Intelligence Community. Panelists from EPIC will provide personal accounts, covering their background, route into the IC, current role within the IC, and thoughts on opportunities for recent graduates. They will spend the last half of the webinar answering questions submitted by participants. At the end of the event participants will have the opportunity to join breakout sessions with specific panelists and delve deeper into topics of interest.

TechNet Indo-Pacific is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and AFCEA Hawaii. It is the largest event in the Pacific Rim focusing on regional defense issues. Technology Modernization and Innovation Conference

This virtual event will examine how industry sources and uses data. Speakers will look at today's systems use, incorporate plans for tomorrow and identify the people and processes involved to build a big picture view of how modern technology is a critical enabler of U.S. Army warfighters' success. The new U.S. Space Force faces many challenges, and much work remains to achieve the 2020 Defense Space Strategy vision. The day will focus on four areas that underpin and support the strategy: a view of the threat environment; perspectives from current government and industry space leaders; the future use of commercial services and capabilities to augment, offset or replace government-owned and -operated space capabilities; and the state of space-related acquisition reform. No longer an arena where adversaries launch a single distributed denial of service attack, lob a virus or infiltrate a network, it is now a state of persistent barrages and simultaneous campaigns. Attacks against high-value targets still occur, but they are accompanied by a torrent of continuous assaults on political, economic and security interests.
