Luncheon Honors Award Winners

The chapter held its monthly awards luncheon in August at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Rear Adm. Paul B. Becker, USN, director for intelligence, U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), served as the guest speaker. He gave an overview of PACOM intelligence and the impact of Asia-Pacific rebalancing. The chapter named Senior Master Sgt. Michael Herr, USAF, headquarters PACOM, as its Senior Government Leader of the Month, and Chief Warrant Officer Danzie Ruffin, USN (Ret.), Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific, received the AFCEAN of the Month Award. Forest Frizzell, deputy director of the Department of Information Technology, was honored as chapter Executive of the Month, and Daren Presbitero of SNR Systems received the chapter's Young AFCEAN of the Month Award. The chapter selected Puamana Danielson from Kalani High School as the Student of the Month. Lastly, Chaplain Steven Jessen, Wounded Warrior Detachment at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, accepted his July award for Senior Government Leader of the Month.
