Support for Local Robotics Team

In November, the chapter teamed with Montgomery Industry Partners (MIP) to review a demonstration and presentation by the Wetumpka High School Robotics Team, a nationally recognized team sponsored through the chapter's Education Fund. The team, represented by Jonothon Segars, Jonathan Oliver, Jared Baggett, Tabitha Hines, E.J. Aloria and Zoe Brown, actively engaged the audience with a well-delivered mock presentation on the construction process behind their prized robot, the WHS Enterprise. Chapter and MIP members provided critiques on different aspects of the presentation, such as communication skills, marketing techniques and the design process for constructing the robot. The team, led by Virginia Vilardi, boasts an impressive series of competition wins, most recently placing first in the War Eagle B.E.S.T. Robotics Competition, Auburn University.
