BELVOIR CHAPTER CHAPTER - May 20, 2013

Annual Golf Tournament a Success

In May, the Annual AFCEA Belvoir Golf Tournament was held at the Potomac Ridge Golf Course in Waldorf, Maryland. Each year, the chapter gives back to the community in the form of educational grants to surrounding area schools and scholarships to deserving students to help fund their college education. The annual golf tournament is one of the premiere fundraising events to support of the educational activities of the chapter. At this year's tournament, the chapter was proud to host five corporate sponsors, 64 registered participants and nine Wounded Warriors on the golf course. The teams played two courses, the Hollow and Meadows. In spite of the current fiscal environment, the tournament was a success. The chapter thanks its dedicated volunteers, corporate sponsors, Wounded Warriors and golfers for supporting this event and allowing it to continue to award the community with future educational grants and scholarships.
