ALAMO CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jan 01, 2014

Changes Afoot for Alamo Board

The Alamo chapter opened 2014 with several changes visible on the Board of Directors. The chapter welcomed new AFCEA Texas Regional Vice President Dean Fox in November. Fox is vice president of cyber strategy at URS Corp. in San Antonio. He is a former president of AFCEA Hawaii. Before retiring from the Air Force in 2010, he held numerous command positions, including deputy director for communications and information at U.S. Pacific Command headquarters. Fox replaced regional vice president Kelley Crooks, who is continuing as co-host of the weekly AFCEA Military City USA Radio show in San Antonio. Col. Clay Perce, USAF, (Ret.) has officially taken on the role of Alamo vice president of scholarships and educational grants, filling the role previously held by Vic Helbling, who passed away in October 2013. Sandra Dance resigned her position as vice president of awards in December 2013. The chapter is vetting candidates to fill that role.
