Chapter Learns About Space Systems

Col. Jeffrey Stutz, USAF, deputy director, Advanced Systems and Development Directorate, Kirkland Air Force Base, briefed the chapter about several programs in June. The directorate's mission is to deliver small, responsive space capabilities to users across the national security space community. The directorate consists of a combined team of more than 700 military, government civilians and contractors responsible for the development, acquisition, launch, demonstration, test and operations of Defense Department and civil space systems.
