ALAMO CHAPTER CHAPTER - May 08, 2019

Chapter Casts a Wider Net at Local Mixer

The chapter held a unique membership outreach in the Austin, Texas area just north of San Antonio. The event was held at the Capitol Factory in the heart of downtown where local attendees as well as San Antonio and chapter board members mixed and mingled and learned about the capabilities of the Capitol Factory. The Capitol Factory's mission is to be the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas and the number one startup state in the U.S. Attendees discovered more about the Capitol Factory and toured the facility. Bill Robinson, chapter vice president of memberships, explained that the chapter is geographically separated from Austin, but events like this bring about community outreach initiatives while integrating those folks with our government organizations, industry and academic professionals. "We look forward to engaging with our Austin neighbors for more AFCEA events in the future."
