Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament Supports STEM Scholarships

The chapter held the Elmer J. Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament in June, at the Marlborough Country Club, Marlborough, Massachusetts. This annual event honors Fuller, a Hanscom Air Force Base senior civilian and staunch supporter of AFCEA International, who served as past chapter president and board chairman. Also memorialized was Al Hart, holder of numerous executive committee offices and perennial tournament organizer. Two flights from government and industry participated in a shotgun scramble. A luncheon followed at which the Fuller and Hart families were welcomed and acknowledged. Maj. Gen. (Sel.) Michael Schmidt, USAF, opened festivities by welcoming the crowd and thanking the chapter for its scholarship commitment. Golf committee co-chairs Dave Burke and Tim Kelley awarded golf trophies, announced raffle winners and concluded by thanking golf committee chair, Jeff Katz, committee volunteers and industry sponsors for their invaluable support, which raises thousands annually for chapter STEM scholarships.
