Critical Infrastructure Protection Roundtable

Presented by the AFCEA Cyber Committee

October 27, 2016 ♦ 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Hilton Mark Center, Alexandria, VA ♦ 5000 Seminary Road

7:30-8:30 - Breakfast
8:30-12:30 - Roundtable and Q&A

Networked critical infrastructure systems make everyday life easier but in a world where cyber attacks are a fact of life, a single attack can bring a nation down without deploying a ship or detonating a bomb. Areas as small as a military base or city can come to a standstill when denied access to electricity or water. Preventing such attacks is what cybersecurity is all about. But how can the government, businesses, utilities, banking and the other building blocks of critical infrastructure recover when the unthinkable happens? More importantly, how can cybersecurity measures be brought back online to prevent event more damage?

Join Brig. Gen. Gregory J. Touhill, USAF (Ret.), the U.S. government’s first chief information security officer, and John Gilligan, president and COO, Schafer Corporation and the former CIO of the Department of Energy and the U.S. Air Force, as they moderate the discussion among critical infrastructure protection stakeholders. These experts will identify and discuss crucial issues in the cyber resilience of critical infrastructure and associated government and industry coordination and support.
