You Make The Difference
AFCEA International and its chapters and committees collaborate to develop programs, activities and events that support the warfighter, aide veterans, mentor the next generation and raise money for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educational initiatives.
The association's chapters also support a variety of local charities, ranging from the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health, to local memorial parks to scholarship programs. Depending on its location, chapters focus on the needs of specific populations in their area. For example, some groups help children with deployed parents while others support veteran therapy pet programs. When you see a need that affects any aspect of AFCEA’s mission, you can count on your fellow AFCEANs and your chapter to address it.
Each year, AFCEA chapters raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that benefit STEM students and teachers. Chapter fund-raising activities leave bakery and candy bars sales behind. Instead, members organize and take part in 5k and 10K runs, bike rides, golf tournaments and uniquely themed events. In addition, the AFCEA Educational Foundation regularly solicits funds. Together, AFCEA and its chapters work with high schools, colleges and teachers to ensure that hard-earned dollars go to the people and places they can be most effective.
Whether your interest is in strictly in giving back or includes career development, business networking, finding solutions, leading or learning, we have an AFCEA for that.
