About the speakers:

Bob Kipps, KippsDeSanto & Co.

Bob founded KippsDeSanto & Co. in 2007 and has grown the M&A firm to be the largest investment bank exclusively focused on the Aerospace / Defense and Government Services sector.  KippsDeSanto advises on ~ 20 industry M&A transactions per year.  Over the years, Bob has worked with some of the most successful industry firms both advising them on their strategy as they grew and assisting them with their eventual sale.

Prior to founding KippsDeSanto, Bob was a Managing Director and leader of Houlihan Lokey’s Aerospace∙Defense∙Government industry group.  He has been recognized as the Dealmaker of the Year – Investment Banker by the Association for Corporate Growth’s National Capital Chapter and frequently provides M&A market commentary to The Washington Post, GovConExec, Washington Business Journal, WashingtonExec, and Washington Technology, among others.  Some of his recent transactions include IBA's sale to DLH, EIS' sale to Cognosante, Solers sale to Peraton and Connexta's sale to Octo.


Kristjan Kornmayer, Chertoff Group LLC

Kristjan is a Senior Director at the Chertoff Group and leads the Merchant Bank’s M&A Advisory Practice, which provides services such as M&A strategy development, target screening and full buy-side diligence analysis to financial and strategic buyers. He also supports Chertoff's investment banking and private equity activities, conducted through its wholly-owned subsidiary Chertoff Capital.

Over his career, Mr. Kornmayer has advised on over 20 merger and acquisition transactions in the defense, security, and government markets. Recent examples include the acquisitions of ATA and Brilligent by BlueHalo, the acquisition of AEVEX Aerospace by Madison Dearborn Partners, the acquisition of QRC by Parsons Corporation, and the acquisition of Aegis Technologies by Arlington Capital Partners. 

Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Mr. Kornmayer served as a Senior Associate at Avascent for 6 years. He received an MA in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a BA in International Affairs from the University of Georgia.   

Joshua Heacock, CSP Associates

Josh is a Director at CSP Associates and serves as the firm’s lead Defense and Government Services analyst providing transaction due diligence and M&A strategy to financial sponsors and strategic buyers. He is also an active investor in CSP Equity Partners, a co-investment affiliate of CSP Associates which has a portfolio of equity investments in more than 100 aerospace, defense, and government contractors.  

Since joining CSP in 2015. Mr. Heacock has competed 150 engagements including over 40 transactions in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services markets. Recent examples include the acquisition of AM General by KPS Capital Partners, WaveStrike by Novetta and The Carlyle Group, Aevex by Madison Dearborn Partners, and Kellstrom Defense by Odyssey Investment Partners.

Prior to joining CSP, Mr. Heacock worked for HSBC Global Markets and Banking in New York. Previously, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force leading maintenance operations for the B-2 “Spirit” Stealth Bomber. Mr. Heacock holds an MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School and graduated with Academic Distinction from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

DARPA Expands Contract with Radiance Technologies for Secure Simulation and Modeling Platform

Radiance Technologies Inc.,* Huntsville, Alabama, was awarded a $13,169,089 modification (P00007) to exercise an option to previously awarded contract HR0011-20-C-0146 for the Secure Advanced Framework for Simulation and Modeling (SAFE-SiM) program. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $23,410,995 from $10,241,906.

Skyline Software Systems is Providing 3D Geospatial Software to the Army

Skyline Software Systems Inc.,* Herndon, Virginia, was awarded an $8,200,000 firm-fixed-price contract for renewal of commercial-off-the-shelf node-locked site license for TerraExplorer Pro with Command and Control/Mission Planning and TerraBuilder 3D Geospatial Viewing and Analysis software. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of September 29, 2026.

Corvid Technologies Secures SBIR Phase III Award for MDA Debris Modeling and Sensor Planning

Corvid Technologies Inc.,* Mooresville, North Carolina, is being awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program Phase III cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The total value of this contract is $7,936,440. Under this follow-on contract, the contractor will support the development of post-intercept debris models to include applicable databases and sensor scene generation tools.
