Building the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Platform for Your Small Biz

Even as the government acquisition landscape evolves, some things stay the same: Does the agency you want to do business with know who you are?

Often, part of the “go-no go” decision on bids involves whether the customer knows your company. Further, it is not simply a matter of knowing your company, but what they think of it.

Recent studies from Market Connections Inc., Hinge Marketing and the Government Executive Media Group all show that differentiating your company and clearly enunciating your area of expertise improves your chances for winning more business.

Simply put — everyone would prefer to buy from experts, from those who best understand the problem you need solved.

This session will outline the steps necessary to start building your SME status in the world’s biggest market, selling to the U.S. Federal government. It will cover how to identify your key strengths, differentiate from your competitors, develop content to support your SME status, and how to get that content in front of the right audience.
