In addition: AFCEA Europe Grants Program

The AFCEA Educational Foundation is dedicated to providing support to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students and teachers. Since 2010, AFCEA Educational Foundation has invested more than $1.2 million in teachers who are providing innovative STEM learning opportunities in their classrooms.
Grants are available to provide funding to European Chapters to promote STEM innovation in the classrooms with emphasis on elementary academic programs. Grants of up to $1,000 USD will be awarded. Chapters should identify a need in their community and then propose a program to address this need. Programs will be funded on a year-by-year basis, but will be eligible for renewal. Chapters are encouraged to contribute matching funds, and programs with matching funding will have an advantage.
Summaries of model programs currently implemented by other chapters are available, and chapters are encouraged to reach out to the Educational Foundation for advice or ideas.

Robert Howell Memorial Educational Fund

Commodore Robert Howell, RN (Ret.), was dedicated to delivering on AFCEA's commitment to students and the education community. He was the force behind establishing AFCEA student chapters/clubs, conducting International Student Conferences and taking AFCEA professional development courses and the AFCEA Leadership Forum to Europe.
To honor Commodore Howell and keep his upbeat, positive spirit alive, AFCEA created an AFCEA International educational fund in his name. This fund is used to support chapter educational programs for students outside of the United States.
Funds will be used for the following:
International student chapter/club activities
International AFCEA Leadership Forum tuitions
Donations honoring Commodore Howell can be made to the AFCEA Educational Foundation either online or by mail:

Student Chapters/Clubs

AFCEA Student Chapters/Clubs do exist in Europe. E.g. DEREE College students of The American College of Greece, Athens, founded one of the early AFCEA student clubs. In addition to the Greek Student Club, other AFCEA student clubs were founded in Czech Republic (at Prague University), in Italy (Rome Student Club), and in Portugal (the Almada and Porto Student Clubs). Most of them are affiliated to the AFCEA Chapters in their respective country.
