The new U.S. Space Force faces many challenges, and much work remains to achieve the 2020 Defense Space Strategy vision. The day will focus on four areas that underpin and support the strategy: a view of the threat environment; perspectives from current government and industry space leaders; the future use of commercial services and capabilities to augment, offset or replace government-owned and -operated space capabilities; and the state of space-related acquisition reform. With a new administration and significant budget decisions as context, operational concepts and acquisition plans will be highlighted.

Active-duty military, reservists, and civilian employees stationed in 163 countries make the Dept. of Defense the nation s largest and most geographically dispersed employer. They play a prominent role in recruiting and retaining both civilian employees and active-duty personnel. While it helps the DoD understand the warfighter's needs and wants, an Employee Experience program is not only about making active-duty personnel feel heard but allows the DoD to build an engaged, efficient workforce by designing, managing, and scaling world-class employee experience programs.

The Innovation Subcommittee of AFCEA's Small Business Committee is launching a program to focus on new, disruptive and emerging technologies. Called the Innovation Connection, the program offers the small business community--from start-ups to seasoned entrepreneurs--the opportunity to gain visibility and showcase innovative technology to a small group from the U.S. government, venture capitalist community and industry. Innovations in all emerging areas, including cyber, IT, AI/ML, blockchain, quantum science and autonomy, are invited to participate.
