2013 AFCEA Admiral Jon L. Boyes Medal for Distinguished Service to AFCEA: GEN Dennis Via, USA, Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command.

2013 AFCEA James M. Rockwell AFCEAN of the Year Recipients: GEN Vlastimil Picek, CZA (Ret.), Minister of Defense, Czech Republic; and Mr. Randall Cieslak, SES, Chief Information Officer, U.S. Pacific Command.

AFCEA established the David Sarnoff Award, its highest honor, to recognize individuals who have made lasting and significant contributions to global peace. Recipients have demonstrated a sustained and personal commitment to furthering communications, electronics, and information technologies toward achieving a more secure tomorrow.

The Admiral Jon L. Boyes Medal for Distinguished Service to AFCEA is AFCEA's premier award, given for exceptional career service to AFCEA. Winners are selected by an appointed committee.

The General James M. Rockwell AFCEAN of the Year is AFCEA's premier award, given for exemplary service to AFCEA over the past year. Winners are selected by an appointed committee.
