Artificial Intelligence is rapidly revolutionizing
numerous operational domains, offering innovative
tools to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of
field activities. On the occasion of the AFCEA
Rome event on June 17, concrete cases of AI
deployment in various contexts will be presented,
with a particular focus on experiences gained in
the defense and national security sectors.
AI, through the analysis of large volumes of data,
enables the identification of threats and
appropriate responses. For instance, in Defense
and Security Systems, machine learning algorithms
support the detection of intrusions in IT networks
and allow for the optimization of procurement,
transport, and resource distribution by predicting
needs and streamlining logistical flows.
Through specific examples - such as strategic
decision-making support, intelligent automation of
operations, advanced information management, and
recognition and predictive analysis techniques in
operational environments - the event will explore
the benefits, opportunities, and challenges
related to the application of artificial
intelligence in the field.
A dedicated focus will also be given to the
experiences of military organizations, with the
participation of sector experts who will
illustrate how AI can significantly enhance
operational capabilities, increasing the accuracy,
timeliness, and security of missions.
The event will represent an important opportunity
for dialogue between civilian and military experts
to jointly identify the most effective strategies
to fully leverage the potential of AI in everyday
operational activities.
