| Description: |
Digital sovereignty is a cornerstone of the
strategic autonomy of European Defence, especially
in a geopolitical context where cyberspace has
become a domain of постоян competition and a lever
of influence among powers. In this scenario,
critical technological dependencies - platforms,
components, cloud services, toolchains, standards,
and software supply chains - are not merely an
industrial or economic issue: they directly affect
operational readiness, resilience, information
security, and freedom of action.
Reducing lock-in to non-EU suppliers is therefore
an imperative for both security and operational
effectiveness. The conference will explore how to
strengthen control over key digital capabilities
through concrete cyber strategies: open and
interoperable architectures, supply chain risk
mitigation, and the development/adoption of
credible European alternatives for enabling
technologies.
A dedicated focus will address two highly
strategic enablers. On the one hand, cyber
training as a readiness multiplier: realistic
exercises, cyber ranges, and operational scenarios
make it possible to build skills, validate
procedures, and improve response under pressure.
On the other hand, data management in multi-domain
environments through Data-Centric Security:
protecting data throughout its entire lifecycle
and wherever it resides - across networks,
platforms, classification levels, and coalition
contexts - while ensuring confidentiality,
integrity, traceability, and availability beyond
traditional perimeter-based approaches.
During the conference, STORMSHIELD, with the
support of other AIRBUS Group companies and
military institutions, will present concrete use
cases demonstrating the maturity and effectiveness
of European solutions, highlighting how it is
possible to reduce critical dependencies and
contribute to strengthening the digital
sovereignty of European Defence. |
