Mr. Chip Raymond

Mr. Raymond is the Chief Technology Officer for the Ground Division, Defense Group, CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation). As the CTO, he is responsible for technology thought leadership in helping CSC align with the Army’s technology transformations, including Cloud (all layers) and Data Centers, Managed Serives, Big Data Analytics, and Cyber Security. This requires a rigorous and concentrated view of applying leading edge technologies across all the Army’s mission domains. Much of this work is focused on moving mature commercial solutions into the defense technology solution space. Mr. Raymond is the Defense/Eagle Alliance Executive Member of CSC’s Leading Edge Forum. Mr. Raymond is a retired Army Officer and Department of the Army Civilian Employee with over 41 years of service to the Nation.  Mr. Raymond holds BS and MBA degrees, and is a Ph.D. candidate in IT Engineering.  He has attended North Carolina State University, University of Southern California, and George Mason University. Mr. Raymond has been a Visiting Professor at George Mason University since 1997, and teaches graduate level courses in Technology Management, including Technology Investment and Analysis and Emerging Technologies. Mr. Raymond is a native of Monterey, California.
