Include AFCEA Membership in Non-Member Event Rates by Los Angeles Chapter
Set registration fees at $50 more for non-members than
members; the chapter then uses that extra $50 to purchase a
one-year AFCEA membership for the attendee. It helps with
chapter growth and AFCEA growth, as many of them renew their
memberships after seeing all the advantages of it

Highlighting Diversity at Chapter Luncheons by Greater Omaha Chapter
Our VP for Diversity has put together a benchmark program
which highlights national diversity awareness initiatives or
local themes pertinent to our chapter every month. She
includes a short 5-10 min speaker prior to the featured
luncheon speaker, to introduce the topic and most
presentations are interactive games or discussions with the
chapter membership.

On-Base vs. Off-Base by At-Large Chapter
Question: For those that are near a military installation,
do you have better attendance when you hold events on or off
base?
¿Industry will come out if it's off base but to draw
military attendance you most likely need to have the event
on base
¿San Antonio has had similar problems having three different
bases in the area, found a hotel in the center of all three
installations and established a relationship. Find a central
location for your customer base
¿Luncheons work better off-base, but conferences work better
on base
¿If it¿s on base, make sure you collect the appropriate data
for the security forces and dribble them into their offices
so they are not choked with too many requests at the last
minute

Sponsor Recognition by At-Large Chapter
Provide the sponsors recognition through some sort of
memorabilia, doesn't have to be extravagant but something
that they can display in their office to show they're a
supporter of AFCEA.
