| Chapter Focus |
The Rome Chapter is focused on the dissemination
of AFCEA knowledge in Italy within the Military,
Industry, Central Administration, and Academia in
order to involve all the interested organizations
on the association topics.
The Chapter promotes an ethic dialogue among members
and others about Communications, Information
Technology, Electronics, and Command & Control in
the Homeland Defense and Security domain.
Significant attention is given to dual use
applications. Several events are regularly
organized for knowledge sharing and dissemination.
It also maintains close links to AFCEA
International and to other relevant associations,
such as IEEE Aerospace and Electronics Systems
Society IEEE-AESS), INCOSE (International Council
on System Engineering), and the Italian Modeling &
Simulation Association (MIMOS). Many activities
are currently ongoing.
Among them:
-Master in System Engineering, in partnership with
Rome University of Tor Vergata;
-Master in Satellite Communications, in
partnership with Rome University of Tor Vergata;
The Chapter's focus of year 2012 has been on Cyber-
Defense.
During 2012, the Chapter has also launched a program in support of Small and Medium Enterprises, which are a key resource in the high technology field. This program will be continued and expanded in the 2013 and in the following years.
Every month the Chapter organizes several
presentations, conferences and other activities
whose details can be seen in the "Activities"
section of the Chapter's website. |
