| Chapter Focus |
AFCEA UK West is based in the South West of the UK and meets
10 months of the year at the Thistle Hotel in Cheltenham. UK
West has had a successful year with all our planned meetings
being delivered - although a couple being saved by kind and
willing volunteers at the last minute when the planned
speakers became unavailable!
An enthusiastic group of members, attendance has ranged from
12 to over 25. Talks from Maj Gen Tim Inshaw (DE&S
Information Systems and Services Director), and on GCHQ¿s
Relationship with the Military presented by their historian
being particularly well attended. Most of the members are
industry-based but the Chapter aims to encourage service
personnel to join us by offering a significantly reduced
attendance fee for our meetings.
