Alaska Communications delivers the following: Over 640 sheath miles of fiber optics in our local Alaska networks Optical network backbone within Alaska and into the Lower 48 Quality of Service (QoS) The first Wide Area Network (WAN) in Alaska to support voice, video, and data with QoS over an MPLS platform Transparent LAN Services (TLS) Alaska Communications was featured in Telephony Magazine for delivering the first Metro Ethernet network (TLS) in the state. Facilities-based networks in 74 communities throughout Alaska with over 65 digital switches serving over 300,000 access lines Multi-Protocol IP Core Network linking nodes in Anchorage, Mat-Su, Fairbanks, Kenai, Juneau, Sitka, Seward, Alaska, and in Seattle, Washington Integrated network elements, which offer a variety of services and applications such as Signaling System No. 7 (SS7), voice messaging, digital switching, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) access Service levels monitored and managed through our dual redundant Integrated Network Management Centers (I-NMC) ensure highly reliable services, including 99.99% reliability on our Metro Ethernet network and other services
