AFCEA International is partnering with Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute to offer its members a comprehensive range of online cybersecurity training on an annual subscription basis. For the cost of one five-day classroom course, students have unlimited access to more than 30 classes.
As a young child in Hannover in Northern Germany, the life of Maj. Gen. Klaus-Peter Treche, GEAF (Ret.), general manager of AFCEA Europe and vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), AFCEA International, was changed forever when his father rejoined the armed forces after the 1956 Hungarian uprising. His father rejoined the newly created German Armed Forces to contribute to NATO’s mission to defend the western world against Warsaw Block aggression.
The recent corporate membership promotion, which offered a three-year corporate membership for the price of two years, was a solid success. As a result of the offer and increased publicity, preliminary numbers indicate that 34 new companies joined AFCEA at the three-year level; 87 current members renewed and pre-purchased for three years; and eight former corporate members rejoined.
