Providing scholarships/grants in partnership with local business by Alaska Chapter
The chapter is partnering with local business sponsors to provide scholarships/grants to local schools. The businesses provide the funds; AFCEA Alaska provides the check with both logos on it. Representatives of the businesses and the chapter travel together to present the funds in person at the school ¿ within a two hour radius drive.

Use of Automated Membership Lists by Alaska Chapter
We migrated our website and membership lists from a manual
process, using Gmail, to an automated method, using Mail
Chimp. This system builds the lists, allowing us to get
out of the business of managing mailing lists ourselves,
saving hours of work every year. This also means members
and those wanting to be on our mailing list can now add or
remove themselves without our involvement, using
unsubscribe links. This has helped us develop our lists,
keep them private and protected from other users, and
ensured we reach the maximum number of members.
