Event Name: Fundamentals of Hacking
Website Visit Event Website
Event Date: 11/10/2013
Event Time: 08:00-18:00
Event Organizer: Kaiserslautern Chapter
Event Sponsor: HACKINT
Description: The class is very open to input/modifications depending on class desire and no pre-reqs are required. This is not a class on exploit development but instead understanding the hacker methodology and then using the BackTrack suite of tools to remotely exploit Virtual Machines. I will be teaching an approach to hacking that you can take forward in whatever you specialize in. It's a fundamentals class but will give you all a taste of hacking (ethical and legal). From there you can use the material to continue in education (after the class I'll provide a bunch of links and good tools to get you started) or just have a better understanding of what's out there. If possible, please bring in your personal laptop for the class. I will provide Live CDs to run the Backtrack software from and you will be able to take these home with you after class. If you do not have a laptop available there are computers available in the classroom.
