Speaking opportunities vary by event. At WEST, TechNet Cyber, and TechNet Augusta, we issue calls for abstracts, usually about 6-10 weeks in advance of the conference, for short sessions in the Innovation Showcase (WEST and TechNet Cyber) or in response to specific problems issued by the Army/DoD (TechNet Augusta). Please keep an eye on those event websites for details.

Abstracts should be relevant to the conference theme and/or the military and government community/geographic area served by the event, e.g.: if submitting for TechNet Indo-Pacific, tailor the abstract to a current topic relevant to Indo-PACOM’s AOR or current priorities. When submitting, please be sure to spell out any acronyms in full on at least the first use of them. Abstracts should be vendor- neutral: in most instances, we will not accept abstracts that are oriented as a company or product pitch.
We receive hundreds of abstracts for most events and will only contact you if your abstract is selected for presentation or if we need clarification or additional information. All abstracts received, even if not selected for presentation, are kept on file for future reference/opportunities and/or as backups.

There are no current virtual attendance options for our events. We livestream, on YouTube Live, select sessions at some of our events. Refer to each event’s website for details. We video or audio record most sessions at every conference.

NOTE: Each speaker/panelist must authorize us to post presentations and/or recordings. If you cannot
find a particular session, it’s because we were not given authorization to distribute it.

SIGNAL Media and AFCEA partner with companies to provide a platform for information and thought leadership just for you. These events are moderated by senior editors on the SIGNAL team to ensure the events are newsworthy and of high quality.
Our COVID-19 Safety Plan is a living document that will continue to evolve as we follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and work closely with the event venues, vendors, overflow hotels, and other properties to create a safer experience for participants.
All participants must abide by our Well-being Code of Conduct while attending AFCEA International National Security & Defense events.
