September Tech Session & Networking with PEO C3T and the N-CFT for a TEM 10 Update
Date: Tuesday, September 26, 2023
Time: 1:30 - 6:30
Location: Water's Edge Event Center, Belcamp, MD
Join the AFCEA Aberdeen chapter for this special event with PEO C3T and Network-CFT! We'll have
Army network leaders, program managers, and developers for a special afternoon session to discuss
how the Army will modernize network design to support the Army of 2030 and pivot to 2040. The
afternoon will feature keynote presentations from MG Jeth Rey, Director Network-CFT, and Mr. Mark
Kitz, PEO C3T, as well as panel discussions with key program and CFT leadership that will address
methods, processes, and technical/design goals to achieve this strategy. The day will conclude
with an informal Government/business networking social.
Background:
To retain readiness in today's complex geopolitical landscape, the Army is shifting from brigade-
centric operations to the division as unit of action for the Army of 2030. Pushing network
complexity up to division frees up units to focus on maneuvers, reduces the command post
footprint, and increases mobility and survivability. The network of 2030 will enable core
capabilities with emphasis on assured voice communications, common operating picture, and digital
fires. A central component to the Army of 2030 is that it will be data-centric, providing
persistent access to data and a way to synchronize it using cloud technologies to make relevant
information available to the users at the edge. The Army network modernization foundation laid so
far, with years of operational unit feedback, is enabling the changes taking place today. The
AFCEA panels will provide information on how the Army is conducting iterative design reviews,
formulating engineering design goals, and using operational feedback derived from Soldiers' hands-
on, real-world experiences to achieve a network of 2030 foundation.

MG Jeth Rey, Director, Network Cross-Functional Team (CFT)
