Information Forces
Veronica (Roni) Rogers serves as the NAVIFOR N5,
leading Information Warfare (IW) Type Commander
(TYCOM) and IW Enterprise (IWE) strategic
initiatives/communications/planning; providing
problem solving training and design thinking
facilitation; and bridging Science and Technology,
as well as innovation networks.
A twelve-year government civilian, the majority of
her civil service time has been with Naval
Information Forces ¿ serving in the N6 as an IT
Portfolio Manager and Governance lead; in the Flag
Office as the Deputy Commander¿s EA; in the N3
establishing the IW Readiness Analysis cell, as
well as the IW Readiness integration division; in
the N8 as the IW Requirements Lead; and as the
Strategic Alignment Special Assistant working on
cross-DON initiatives. She has also served as the
U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF) Command Force IT Policy
and Investment Management Lead, leading the
development and analysis of USFF DON and OSD
Information Technology budgets.
Prior to becoming a federal employee, Ms. Rogers
worked in a number of commercial technology roles
that included technology project and program
management, strategic planning, small business
operations, and technology training. Her resume
includes active duty in the U.S. Navy as an
Intelligence Officer, serving in a variety of
traditional intelligence officer and information
technology roles.
She is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and
the Naval Postgraduate School, with certifications
from the Solve/Next Think Wrong Institute and
UVA¿s Darden School of Business Summer of Design.
