Young AFCEANs Unite for Joint Event

For the third time, Young AFCEANs from the Bonn, Kaiserslautern and Spangdahlem chapters in Germany teamed up for a joint event. In June, they took a day trip to the IBM Lab and Museum in Boeblingen, where attendees were able to explore big data and IBM's Global Technology Outlook as well as view the first Hollerith punch card machine. The Young AFCEAN representatives from the chapters established this kind of joint event in 2012. "It is a great opportunity to bring Young AFCEANs together for the first time," said Jochen Reinhardt, Young AFCEAN Advisory Council representative for the Central Europe region on the U.S.-German initiative.
