Chapter Hears from West Point Cyber Chair

At a joint luncheon of the Pocono Mountains AFCEA chapter and Tobyhanna Chapter, AUSA, in September, Lt. Gen. Rhett Hernandez, USA (Ret.), West Point Cyber chair, addressed the audience regarding cyberspace in the Army of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The audience was enlightened regarding the cyberthreat, which is the nation's number one security challenge. Additionally, the audience learned the distinction between computer defense and cyber operations, recent events in cyberspace and the plans for cyber work force development in the future. Gen. Hernandez was the first commanding general of the U.S. Army Cyberspace Command.
