Golf Tournament Supports STEM Education

The chapter held the Crawford-Fuller Scholarship Golf Tournament in July. Members and corporate sponsors supported the event with generous contributions to the chapter's science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) scholarship and awards programs that aid high school students, service members and area high schools. Eleven four-person teams played in the tournament. Among the participants were Chapter President Col. Stamatis Smeltz, USAF, U.S. Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) director of communications, and Maj. Gen. John Maluda, USAF (Ret.). Corporate sponsors for the event were Blue Coat Systems, Walker and Associates, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics Information Technology and NetApp/CDW-G.
