ALAMO CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jul 19, 2016 |
Defense Health Agency Contracting 101 |
The chapter hosted its monthly luncheon in July with guest speaker David Colbert, principal contracting officer, Defense Health Agency. Contracts can be a bit confusing, but getting the information out there through events like this is helpful, he said. Colbert states that companies should put their specific skill sets out there, emphasizing what distinguishes them from competitors. These are great ways to make a business more competitive. "Take the time to read the package and check your work. Make sure your rep information is current. Don't miss out on an opportunity over small mistakes," he said. Colbert fielded many questions from the audience, including: How can businesses "get their foot in the door to do business with DHA?" He simply stated: "Come see us." |
