The chapter held a professional development course in April. Thirty-five members from the government, industry and the military attended the course, titled "Digital TV for the 21st Century: A World of Interactive Applications." Luis E. Valle and Roberto Mayer coordinated the event, which included presentations on local and remote interactive digital television platforms, interactive terminal equipment and other topics. Vendors from companies such as Nextel, Telecom, DiBEG and Qualcomm highlighted their products' capabilities. Representatives from the Argentine Army discussed the military's operational use of digital television.
