Networking Event Helps Small Businesses

In November, the chapter held its first B2B networking event. Small businesses were connected with medium and large businesses to prepare for federal opportunities in fiscal year 2010. Stacy and Roger Vaughn, joint chapter assistant vice presidents for small business, came up with the idea for the program to help small businesses and also to raise funds for the chapter's scholarship awards. The program focuses on helping small businesses foster and create new teaming opportunities while strengthening existing or current agreements with larger organizations. The next B2B event will be held at the Tactical C4 Conference in April.
