Event Enhances Chapter Interaction

At the January meeting, the chapter focused on its members. This type of event was a first for the chapter, and it gave everyone an opportunity to have an experience like "speed dating." During a 45-minute time frame, each member was given two minutes at four difference tables to give their own "elevator pitch.” The fun and fast-paced luncheon experience was extremely successful with most members asking to do it again. In addition, this month's awardees were Dr. George Ka'ilwai III as Senior Government Leader of the Month; Richard Schaefer, Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific, as AFCEAN of the Month; and Daron Lee from the Mid Pacific Institute as Student of the Month. Donovan Williams from SAIC and John Tamagawa from Polycom both accepted their awards for October Executive of the Month and AFCEAN of the Month, respectively.
