Emerging Leaders Connect with Mentors

Lt. Gen. Ronnie D. Hawkins Jr., USAF, director, Defense Information Systems Agency, addressed the chapter's emerging leaders in June at the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons Corner for the Spring Mentor Protégé Dinner. Gen. Hawkins encouraged the group to think about their careers in terms of three-dimensional chess and to always anticipate the next five steps in their development as a way to get an edge. Valuable nuggets like these from our more than 40 mentors are what make these events, held twice a year in the spring and fall, so sought after among Young AFCEANs in the National Capitol Region.
