The AFCEA Educational Foundation competitive scholarship program criteria stated below are in effect for the 2016-2017 school year. There are six general categories of scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled and attending full time at four-year colleges or universities in the U.S. Please read the information listed below to determine eligibility based on individual qualifications and program eligibility. Please apply for one scholarship only.

*Scholarship awards are subject to availability of funding.  Scholarship awards are restricted to tuition and mandatory fees.

Undergraduate applicants must be a second year college student enrolled as a sophomores or juniors in a four-year insitution at the time of application.  A current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required.  Freshman and senior college students are ineligible to apply.

Graduate applicants must currently be enrolled in their second semester and at least two (2) semester-equivalent courses per term at an accredited U.S. college or university.  A current overall GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required.

Note: high school students are not eligible to apply



Many of AFCEA’s 120 chapters also provide scholarships, grants and tuition assistance for aspiring engineers, technicians, programmers, military personnel and government officials.   Financial assistance is made available for students living or attending school within each chapter's local community.

Through its annual awards program, AFCEA International and the AFCEA Educational Foundation recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals in the telecommunications, electronics, enginerring, intelligence and information technology disciplines. In addition, Chapters are recognized for outstanding support to the Association.
