Amy Burkett
President and Founder, Akina
Amy Burkett is the founder, owner, and President of Akina. As president, she is
responsible for the overall operations, growth, and strategic direction of the company.
Amy began her career in the U.S. Army Intelligence Branch as an ELINT and SIGINT analyst
and continued throughout her 13 years of service to support tactical and strategic
operations as a SIGINT team leader, Operations NCO, Foreign Liaison, Drill Sergeant, and
First Sergeant. After the Army, Amy continued to serve the Intelligence and DoD
communities as a Process Engineer and PMP Certified Project Manager. Prior to establishing
Akina, Amy worked as a Corporate Development Executive helping to grow a small Federal
Contracting company. Amy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Management
and a Master's Degree in Management.
Jason Barbour
President and Founder, Erias Ventures
Jason Barbour is the President and Founder of Erias Ventures, a government contractor
focused on data science, software engineering, and system engineering, the Founder of Data
Works MD, an organization focused on data science education and learning, and one of the
founders of the DAX data conference. With a drive for success and a passion for
technology, he has developed big-data analytics, enterprise automation products, and
operational cyber tools for a number of customers and organizations. In his work with Data
Works MD and DAX, he has built a community of enthusiasts working together to share and
learn about the wonders and science of working with data. With Erias, he is building a
team of high-caliber engineers that are bringing innovative ideas to the government.
Kelly McCormack
Director of People and Culture, CyberBat, Inc.
Kelly is an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, passionate about talent
management, organizational culture and improving candidate/employee engagement and
experience. She began her journey in recruiting supporting the automotive industry,
pivoting to support the DoD & IC in 2009. Kelly holds a Bachelor's in Business
Administration from the University of Maryland University College, a Master's in Legal
Studies from the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law and is completing a Master's in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Other interests include people analytics, human capital management and life-long learning. |
