Our world faces increasingly pressing environmental
challenges and it is more important than ever to base
decisions on accurate, reliable and real-time data.
In this context, the Rome Chapter of AFCEA
International and the associated Finnish company
Vaisala, world leader in the meteorological sector,
supported by its Partner in Italy Eurelettronica
Icas, are organizing a workshop to present innovative
measurement technologies, designed to improve the
reliability and ensure safe and efficient operations.
Among the meteorological observation technologies for
the improvement of the warning system that will be
presented during the workshop is the new
meteorological radar developed by Vaisala, both in X-
band and in C-band, which uses an innovative
"compact" architecture and a solid state transmitter.
New Lidar technologies will be presented, including
the Celiometer Lidar with depolarization, which in
addition to measuring cloud layers also provides
information relating to the characterization of the
atmosphere and the Doppler Wind Lidar for continuous
360°/3D wind measurements. Finally, the technology of
the FD70 sensor will be presented, a "three in one"
that provides information on visibility, present
weather and precipitation, which it measures with a
high degree of accuracy. |
