Description: |
AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a non-
profit membership association serving the military,
government, industry, and academia as an ethical
forum for advancing professional knowledge and
relationships in the fields of communications, IT,
intelligence, and global security. Our ArkLaTex
Chapter stood up about 17 years ago with the
ambition to pursue networking and education in
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
to our military, industry and academia community.
Every year since, the ArkLaTex Chapter of AFCEA
International selects a number of High School
Seniors who are about to pursue a college education
in STEM. Our Chapter takes great pride in
recognizing hard-working students that have the
potential to influence their selected STEM-related
careers, and we dedicate our Annual AFCEA
Scholarship Banquet to provide the accolades these
students deserve.
We also encourage STEM education throughout the
elementary to high school progression by offering
STEM Teaching Tools Grants. Multiple grants values
between $1,000-$3,000 each will be awarded for
equipment and/or supplies for special science
teaching projects or programs. Any Science teacher
interested can apply.
This year we will be Awarding 12 High School
Seniors Scholarships and 4 STEM Teaching Tool
Grants.
