Description: |
The evolution of digital technologies and the
interconnection of operational domains are leading to
the need to understand and leverage cyber
capabilities in multidomain operations. In fact,
these factors have created new opportunities as well
as unprecedented challenges for military forces and
security organizations to ensure optimal operational
effectiveness, especially in new domains such as
Cyber and Space, which are crucial for the
functioning of modern societies, from economic
activities to security and defense.
The protection of networks, sensitive data, and
critical infrastructures is essential to preserve the
integrity, confidentiality, and availability of
information. Innovative processes are being
undertaken to adopt cutting-edge technologies in
threat detection, robust authentication, and secure
encryption for this purpose.
The development of next-generation cyber capabilities
will be crucial to protect critical infrastructures,
including electrical grids, water supply networks,
and transportation systems. The ongoing conflict in
Ukraine has demonstrated the link between the space
and cyber domains, as well as their importance in
respective operations, highlighting the vulnerability
of space systems. This is now a priority,
particularly for European infrastructures.
With this new conference dedicated to the cyber
world, AFCEA aims to explore the innovations shaping
the development of cyber warfare and the impact of
technologies developed for high availability,
encryption, and cybersecurity solutions.
Specifically, the conference will explore quantum
communications in the form of Quantum Key
Distribution (QKD) technologies and related protocols
in the Space domain, as well as Cyber ElectroMagnetic
Activities (CEMA) with high availability technologies
and secure encryption key management.
The conference will provide an opportunity for
exchange of ideas and solutions among key players in
institutions and industries involved in the
development of these capabilities.
Among the participants, there will be interventions
from Teledife, Comando Operazioni in Rete, and
Comando Logistico AM; Leonardo, Aruba, N.I.D.O.,
Barracuda, Digital Platforms, Thales Alenia Space
Italia, and Rubrik Italia. |
