The underwater domain is gaining increasing
strategic relevance within the contemporary
geopolitical landscape, presenting new challenges
to both national and international security. In
this context, the conference "The Anthropization
of the Underwater Domain - A New Global Arena for
Strategic Confrontation" aims to explore critical
topics such as the protection of critical
underwater infrastructures, the growing importance
of cyber aspects in the underwater environment,
and the development of cutting-edge underwater
technologies. Special attention will be given to
the role of national technological sovereignty,
highlighting the need to promote autonomous skills
and resources to ensure security and
competitiveness.
Organized by the AFCEA Rome Chapter, in
collaboration with and under the patronage of the
Italian Navy, as well as with the endorsement of
the National Hub for the Underwater Domain (PNS),
the event offers a valuable opportunity for
dialogue among military experts, academics,
researchers, and industry representatives. The
goal is to facilitate knowledge sharing, foster
synergies, and encourage the development of
effective strategies for the future of national
underwater security. |
