Event Name: Safeguarding America's Data Against Quantum-Enabled Attacks: a Luncheon about Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography
Website Visit Event Website
Event Date: 09/17/2026
Event Time: 11:30am - 2:00pm
Event Organizer: Washington DC Chapter
Description: While a cryptanalytically relevant quantum computer may still be years away, adversaries are actively intercepting and storing our encrypted national security data today with the intent to decrypt it tomorrow. This "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" strategy means that our current classified archives are already compromised if they rely on legacy public-key cryptography. This luncheon brings together senior Intelligence and Defense community leaders to move past theoretical timelines and confront the immediate operational reality of protecting long- life data. Join us as we share tactical blueprints for deploying Post-Quantum Cryptography across legacy networks right now, to not only meet the requirements of the Executive Order, but to ensure our nation's secrets remain secure against the quantum threat of tomorrow.
