A scientist and engineer by training, Jennifer Byrne has extensive program management and technical leadership experience in complex, large-scale hardware and software development programs. Currently Vice President of IT and OPs Support Programs in Lockheed Martin's IS&GS-Defense product line, her organization is responsible for Profit & Loss and approximately 5600 employees in over 330 locations worldwide.

 

Her prior role was as Corporate Vice President of Technology for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In that role, Byrne’s emphasis was on the alignment of technology investment to support long-term growth. In 2005, she was named a Lockheed Martin Fellow, one of the Corporation’s highest technical distinctions, and in 2010 she was elevated to Fellow Emeritus. She is a proven expert in electro-optical systems development and business process innovation. Since joining Lockheed Martin in 1993, Byrne has steadily progressed through technical leadership assignments, including chief engineer, chief technologist, and program manager on programs spanning the full lifecycle. She has a Ph. D. in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Temple University, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Dallas.
