Mr. Kaus Phaltankar
Kaustubh (Kaus) Phaltankar
Kaus Phaltankar, as a Subject Matter Expert in Cyber Security and brings more than 15 years of Internet, network engineering, as well as operations experience from leading corporations including Hewlett Packard, MCI and Citicorp.
As the founder of multiple companies including ViewTrust Technology and NetPlexus Corporation, Kaus has been a pioneer in developing innovative technologies to meet challenges related to security and compliance requirements of commercial and federal enterprises. He has implemented network and security solutions for Fortune 100 clients globally.
Prior to ViewTrust Technology and NetPlexus, Kaus was Chief Engineer and Chief Architect for MCI's Internet Solutions Center. There he worked with one of the ‘fathers of the Internet’, Dr. Vint Cerf. Kaus has two US patents for designing Advanced Datacenter architecture for the highest level of resiliency and reliability. He has authored a how-to book on network security, "Implementing Secure Intranets and Extranets", Artech House, December 1999.
Kaus holds Masters in Telecommunications and Computer Science from The George Washington University, Washington DC; is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has written papers on topics of security, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and presents at number of conferences and organizations including The World Bank, AFCEA, and Air Force annual IT conference, AFITC. He has been guest speaker at various Universities including the National Defense University (NDU), Washington DC, University of Dayton, OH (working with Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB)
